Please note Atiu Island has a population of approximately 500. It predominantly operates on a NZ$ cash basis. There are two bank agents ANZ and Westpac however they are unable to facilitate cash credit card withdrawals and may have insufficient cash on hand for exchanging foreign currency or travelers cheques. Please ensure you complete your cash banking requirements in Rarotonga.

 

Conditions & Information for Tours

  • These tours operate on a cash NZ$ basis, payment to be made before departure.
  • Strong non-slip footwear is essential for the cave tours.
  • Whilst Atiu Tours takes great care to safeguard their clients they shall not be held responsible for any injury or loss or damage.

Conditions & Information for Accommodation

  • A non refundable NZ$40.00 per person cash deposit is required on arrival.
  • For guests staying for lengthy periods of time we require a larger agreed deposit & weekly settlement of accounts.
  • Dinners are available on request at extra charge.
  • All other tour operators on the island will require NZ$ cash payment.
  • Vehicle or motorbike hire are subject to availability. Payment to be paid in NZ$ cash to the hire business on pickup.
  • Please advise us of any alterations to your planed stay with us immediately.
  • Accommodation is not available for children under 13 years.
